Take our 'Explorer quiz' and we’ll tell you where to begin with the activities you’ll enjoy the most.
There’s a multitude of experiences to keep you busy in our beautiful region. Enjoy the mountains, take in the sights, peel back layers of history, get pampered or get active on an adrenaline-pumping hike or skiing trip.
It’s a cool, misty day in the Lubombo mountains, do you choose to:
Explore the endless fields, foothills and forest trails of the region on horseback.
Head off on a ‘crop-to-cup’ coffee tour, sampling freshly-brewed coffee direct from the roastery.
You’re planning a romantic weekend far from the madding crowd. As a couple, you’re happiest:
Seeking out new adventures, like paddling along the waterways and lakes of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park in a canoe made for two.
In a boma, enjoying dinner under the stars, listening to the sounds of the African bushveld at night.
It’s time to switch off and leave the stress of modern, everyday life far behind. You opt to:
Grab a fishing rod and spend some time on the water – maybe even in pursuit of the elusive tiger fish!
Visit a Swazi village and try your hand at grinding maize, weaving or dance, before sampling some traditional food (and perhaps a local brew).
Spring is finally here and you’re slipping off your sandals to:
Walk barefoot down a beach along a perfect, untouched stretch of coastal wilderness.
Enjoy a pedicure, hot stone massage or facial in an unforgettable bushveld spa.
Your bucket-list Lubombo holiday is not complete without:
Turtle tracking, ocean safaris or whale watching along one of the most extraordinary coastlines in the world.
Sarongs, seafood, and the sun on your skin. While adventures are great, so are poolside loungers and beach hammocks – local beer in hand.
You’re heading into the Lubombo Transfrontier Conservation Area. As a first time visitor, you are most exited to:
Lace up your boots and follow Swaziland’s Lubombo Eco Trails as they wind past caves, pools and waterfalls.
Discover the region’s unique species of cycads, rare plants and endemic ironwood forests.
School holidays are around the corner. You’d most like to get the kids:
Excited about the rich cultural heritage of Southern Africa, and all it has to offer in terms of language, customs and practices, dance, music, folklore, and arts and crafts.
Off the grid and burning off energy on the mountain biking trails of the Lubombo mountains – or finding the most rugged 4x4 routes with dad at the wheel.
You’re in a different country, with a day free to explore. We’ll find you:
Browsing market stalls and art galleries for the perfect piece – a wonderful memento from your Lubombo adventure.
Heading off on guided birding safari, hoping to spy a lizard buzzard or Lilac Breasted Roller, green-backed twinspot, Narina trogon or African emerald cuckoo.
